News / New range of DirectX 10 laptops

24-08-2022

rock has launched two new laptops in portable and high-end gaming areas. The new Xtreme 770 follows on from our very successful Xtreme CTX Pro and the Pegasus 670 replaces the popular Pegasus 665.

The Xtreme 770 has been eagerly waited for since its announcement several weeks ago. It’s first in Europe to feature the latest 8700M GT graphics from NVIDIA fully support DirectX 10. The machine can also be configured with the excellent performance of the 7950 GTX Geforce Go as featured in the Xtreme CTX Pro. In fact the 770 is a direct relation to the CTX Pro, being a refresh for the Intel Santa Rosa platform and new chassis design.

The Pegasus 670 on the other hand is part of an exciting new partnership in the industry, having launched a higher wattage NVIDIA 8600M GT graphics card, rather than the industry standard 16W part. This gives rock a unique performance gain over the majority of competition. The Pegasus 670 is our Intel Santa Rose refresh replacing the Pegasus 665, and we’re confident it’ll become best seller in the history of our 15.4” notebooks.
