rock gives first public showing of Mobile Core 2 Duo

Warwick – 22nd August 2006 – performance notebook manufacturer rock are delighted to announce they will be attending i28 over the August Bank Holiday weekend. rock will give Intel™ Core® 2 Duo mobile processors their first public demonstration when they unveil the Xtreme CTX Pro on Monday 28th August.

Team rock, formerly part of UQ Gaming, will be making their first public appearance at the event, this highly successful Call of Duty 2 team won the tournaments at both i26 and i27 and hope to be champions again this year powered by five of the latest generation rock Xtreme CTX notebooks.

The rock bus will be on site giving players their first chance to see the new Xtreme CTX Pro and Pegasus 665 in action. The rock team will be on hand to answer any technical questions and demonstrate the power and performance of the latest rock gaming notebooks.

To add extra glamour, rock will have the company’s Porsche 911 GT3 on show with its race livery ready for the Cannonball 8000 rally in September. CEO Nick Boardman will be competing in the rally from London to Budapest from the 15th-17th September. Players will be able to get a taste of the action first hand by playing the yet to be released GTR2 race sim from Atari which features the GT3. To further the racing spirit, a Pegasus 665 notebook with Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor worth £1,500 will be up for grabs to the player getting the best lap time in game!
